Amazon looks all set to launch a 3D Smart phone on 18th June. The high-end smart phone will apparently be able to display 3D images without the need for special glasses.

Although the Kindle fire has been very successful for Amazon, the smartphone market is extremely competitive with the likes of Apple and Samsung dominating. By selling the hardware, Amazon will have more control over the sale of apps, games and content, as well as allowing them to collect customer data more easily.
